The economic benefits of pellets are reflected in its affordable and less variable price than fossil fuels - since 2007, the price of pellets has been on average 50% lower than the price of fuel oil and 40% lower than oil in EU market which leaders of pellets. At the individual level, the savings brought by the choice of pellets are extremely significant in the household. Pellet stoves and boilers convert more than 85% of the energy of the feedstock into heat, returning the investment to the heating body in about 4 years, after which they generate savings of about € 400 per year on fossil fuel heating.
